Propolis is a completely natural bee product consisting of phenolic and flavonoid substances collected by bees from the leaves, stems, and buds of plants. Literally meaning 'pro' (before) + 'polis' (protecting), raw propolis is the primary cleanser of the hive, the bees' living space. Bees cover the honeycomb cells with raw propolis, then place their honey, young, and food on top. This ensures that the products produced by the bees are stored in the hive without spoiling. Raw propolis (as it comes from the hive) is not digestible by our bodies. When we consume raw propolis directly, only 2% of it is digested by our bodies. For this reason, raw propolis must be extracted, or in other words, distilled. This process requires expertise and must be carried out under the supervision of food engineers. The TÜBİTAK award-winning processing method developed by BEE'O experts preserves the polyphenols, terpenoids, amino acids, volatile organic acids, ketones, coumarins, quinones, vitamins, and minerals contained in raw Anatolian propolis. The propolis extraction method used in our products was developed through R&D work by expert food engineers at ITU ARI Technopark and was awarded the TÜBİTAK, TTGV and TÜSİAD 2016 Technology Award. This method ensures that the maximum amount of nutrients found in raw Anatolian Propolis is obtained and impurities such as beeswax are removed, enabling the product to be manufactured to a consistent standard of quality. You can consume Bee'o Propolis Drops by dripping them onto all warm and cold solid foods such as honey, molasses, yoghurt, etc. It contains no additives, preservatives, colourings, gluten, glycol, GMOs or sugar. It is produced using organically certified propolis, based on good beekeeping practices, through a contract beekeeping model. Shelf life is 36 months. Water-Soluble Propolis Drops (10%) Active Ingredient: Contains 10% pure Anatolian propolis.
